My April Faves!

Happy 1st day of April!!!!

I wanted to quickly share with you some of my favorite products that I will consistently continue to purchase because they are that AMAZING! These products are more beauty related versus makeup products which I am hoping you will enjoy trying out.
This past month I decided to take a little bit of a makeup break just to let my skin breathe and also because my makeup brushes have not been thoroughly cleaned (covering face) so with the help of my first favorite product, the ThirstyMud Glam Glow (middle right column, purchased at Sephora) I was able to rehydrate my skin. It has worked so well on my skin especially because the winter has dried out my skin so bad. I have been applying this every morning and night and leaving it on all day and overnight and the results are fabulous. My skin appears youthful, dewy and smooth. It is a bit on the pricey side but a little bit of this product goes a long way and it is worth every penny! Go ahead and ask for a sample at Sephora and give this baby a shot!

Another product that I am loving is the L'occitane Almond Shower Oil ( top right column, purchased at Sephora), since I have been using this shower oil my skin has been so smooth and soft. This oil also smells delicious if your into the almond scents (which I so am ;-)) You can also use this product on your hair and as a base to layer on for shaving. They have them in different sizes but I love it so much I bought the biggest size which cost me $32.00 at Sephora.

My third favorite is the Davines Nounou Hair Pak (bottom right column and can be found on Amazon). It's a restorative olive oil mask that has completely changed my hair conditioning habits. This one was recommended by a hair salon in Brooklyn and I am glad I decided to add this product onto my hair routine because it has softened out my very color treated hair. I use it once a week and let it sit for about 10 minutes but if you leave it on overnight, you will feel like you have a new set of hair on your hands!

Lastly, the Brazilian Spa Clay from Nair       ( left column, purchased at Walmart) has completely saved me time in the shaving needs department. I have very dry skin so shaving is pretty rough on my skin. I prefer to use a hair removal cream or wax ( but that's way to painful for my liking). I was skeptical about Nair because they normally smell very weird but I saw this Brazilian spay clay that was labelled mango scent so I gave it a try. I must say it's wonderful! Not only does it smell good but you can use it in the shower and it is pretty quick. It works for me in about 10 minutes. It leaves my skin very soft and most importantly not irritated.

I hope that you give these great products a try (I recommend getting samples first) and let me know what you think! If you have any recommendations for me to try please comment below!

Sending you lots of love on the BEGINNING of a NEW month, and Happy April!!!!

Peace and Love,

Kerryann

My February Faves!!!

Hello My Beautiful Rays of SUNSHINE!!!!

I say SUNSHINE in all caps because those who live in NYC know how crazy it has been these last few months!

Anywho, I know it has been a while since I have posted and I am soooo very sorry I've left you out in the cold lol (no pun intended, well maybe just a little lol) BUT I promise to not to slack on my blogging anymore!!!

It's that time of the month again for my monthly favorites and above are the beauty products that I have been using consistently over the last month. I have taken a liking to them very much and would love for you to try them out and let me know your thoughts!

Okay I will briefly mention my faves below from top left working my way to bottom right.
1. Top Left- MAC's Twig Lipstick- this has been my go to daily lipstick. It is such a beautiful soft pink brown and has enough color to make your lips pop slightly. Its so beautiful and delicate and I LOVE wearing it when I am feeling feminine and girly :-)
2. Top Middle- Loreal's Voluminous Mascara- has been my favorite for a while and I bought it again on sale for $4.99 at Walgreens!!! Such an inexpensive mascara and has expanded my lashes like no other mascara has!
3. Top Right- Tarte's Amazonian Clay Foundation- It is completely full coverage and has such a nice smoothness to it. I love applying it to my face, it feels moisturizing and yet controls my oils not leaving me oily even at the end of the day! I really love this product. Check it out if you are into full coverage foundation.
4. Bottom Left- Real Techniques Makeup Brushes- SUPER SOFT and AFFORDABLE brushes that work better in my opinion than any other expensive makeup brush out there right now. I bought a set of 5 brushes on clearance at HARMON's Face Value Store and I paid $21.00!!!! I suggest you give these brushes a shot before you buy another name brand brush where the bristles are falling out the first time you wash (insert side eye here). Trust me, you will love these brushes!
5. Bottom Middle- TooFaced's Lip Insurance- I had this product for a while and let it just sit there while I was struggling with feathering lips on a daily basis. I was too lazy to take the extra step and prime my  lips with this product before applying lipstick and I am so glad I did. My lipstick and lip liner not only glided smoother but it made my lipstick last much much longer. Almost the entire day! I am always constantly drinking water and munching on snacks and even with that, it wouldn't budge :-) I'd say I'm a believer in this product.
6. Bottom Right- MAC's Brow Set in GirlBoy- I wanted to try something to lighten up my brows a bit because the darker brows were making me look extra pale :-/ and so I purchased this brow set. I really do enjoy it because it allows me to switch up my look when I want to wear something more subtle on any given day especially a work day! I do not always want to have dark brows on a daily basis especially if my makeup is softer and less harsh. Feel me? ;-)

If there are any recommendations of products you like/recommend and think I should try PLEASE feel free to comment below and let me know. I absolutely love trying new things and who doesn't like to take a trip to Sephora?!

Well, that will be all for now but I will be back very soon!!!!

Much Love,

Kerryann

September Favorites!

HI!!!
When I said until tomorrow, I meant it!!!! I do not want to miss out on sharing my September Favorites with you! This is an important month on trends and I want to give you ample time to decide what looks you are going for this Fall Season :-)

I put together a few of my favorites that I have been obsessing over this past month. I usually do not like to stick with one brand but they all just happened to be MAC products except for one item this month.

The first item I have mentioned on the top left corner is a primer for the lashes by Smashbox. I clearly need to buy another (hence the almost clear tube) because it grabs on to my mascara and really helps lengthen and define my lashes! This is definitely a must have people!

I also mentioned MAC's 35 lashes because they are fluffy and soft yet very dramatic that helps create a bold makeup look. I like these because they do not look like you have a dead stiff animal on your lash line.

I have also been using MAC's NC15/20 Chromagraphic Pencil instead of using a white liner on my waterline. I feel like white is sometimes too harsh and for me, I tend to look a little cross eyed. This pencil also has so many purposes. You can use it for your waterline, brow bone (as a highlight) or even as a lip erase to smooth out your lip color before applying a dramatic color.

Next on the list, is of course one of my favorite makeup items; LIPSTICK! I love, love, love MAC's Diva lipstick. It is the perfect burgundy red without being too red or too dark. This is definitely a must have for the Fall!

I also had to mention MAC's Pro Lip Palette in the 6 select plums. I created a link to the direct website so that you are able to see the true colors. The photo above does not justify the colors at all. There are 6 pre-selected lip shades that range from the lightest plum to the darkest plum. I love this palette. I have been using this literally all month and have been playing around with the colors and mixing them to my liking almost creating any dark lip imaginable.

Last but not least, I have been slightly obsessing over MAC's Pressed Pigments. They have the most beautiful finish especially when applied with a wet synthetic brush. I mentioned a new one I recently purchased called Day Gleam. It is subtle yet makes any eye look stand out with just one blink. The light reflects so beautifully on it and they are captured well in photos. This is definitely something that I can use when doing bridal looks because it is not overwhelming yet has just the right touch of "hey look at me!"

Well, I hope you enjoyed my September favorites and please feel free to suggest products, comments, ideas or just random discussion on anything Fashion or Beauty related :-)

Tootles for now,

Kerryann

My August Favorites...

My August Favorites

Hello My Gorgeous Ones!

Above is a little video I made with this awesome app called Animoto (click on the link titled August Favorites) I love it when you find super cool apps! Especially ones that are FREE :-)

These are products that I have been totally obsessed over for some time now but really have been my go to products this month.

Products mentioned:
  • Brown Script eyeshadow by MAC- I use this shadow for every eye look I have been doing. It really just makes the best transition color and makes the look pop!
  • Lash Genius by Anastasia Beverly Hills- where has this been all my life? This is a brow/lash mascara that I have been using because it is a waterproof top coat. It literally turns your favorite mascara into a waterproof one! I know! I know! How cool, right?!
  •  Shiseido Pureness Gel Cream- I have really oily skin and I kept breaking out for some reason so I decided to change my moisturizer. This has been the BEST thing I have ever put on my skin. I have not broken out since! It keeps you very hydrated without causing you to get oily because it is a gel based cream.
  • Benefits "They're Real" Mascara- I had to try this mascara because I kept hearing people rave about it. Guess what? They were right! The formula to this mascara is amazing and the brush is even better. I need to actually buy another because mine has run out :-(
  • MAC's Pro Longwear Concealer- Even though I had the entire summer off :-) I still managed to have dark circles under my eyes. (thumbs down) This concealer is full coverage and lasts all day long! Just a little dot will cover both eyes too!
  • Inglot's Eyeliner Gel in 77- I am so glad my friend put me on to this product. I can not imagine using another fluidline again! This makes putting on top liner so much easier because it glides right on. Oh, and did I mention its practically waterproof. This product will not move, at least it hasn't for me and I was jumping in and out of the pool and sweating profusely under the PR sun!
  • MAC's Fix+ Spray- I have been using this every single day! I spray it on before I apply any makeup and after and it makes my skin feel so refreshed!
  • Remington's 1" curling wand- I have pretty thick and heavy hair and curls do not usually last on me because of this reason. However, I decided to try this wand craze out and I am not going to lie, I LOVE IT! The curls are super tight and last until my next wash. BTW, this never happens so I am definitely sticking to using this wand whenever I want to curl my hair.
  • Smashbox's Camera Ready BB Cream- Last but def not least, this has also been one of those products that I have been using every single day. I really do not like to use foundation unless I really have to so using this BB cream has been my savior. Not only does it give you an even warm finish but it also has SPF! Protect your skin people! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this BB cream.
I hope you have enjoyed learning about some of the products I have been loving lately! Please let me know if there is something you would like to know more about!

Until then,

Tootles
